We are proud to announce that the Caramondani Group companies OSMO SISTEMI S.r.l., ITALY and Caramondani Desalination Plants are Silver Sponsors of EuroMed 2026 — Desalination, Water Reuse and the Environment, taking place from 22–25 June 2026 in Marrakech, Morocco.

Organized by the European Desalination Society (EDS), EuroMed 2026 promotes the advancement of research and development in desalination technology, sustainable water supply, and water reuse solutions. On 22 May 22nd, our Paphos Desalination Plant welcomed participants of the international conference WDSA/CCWI 2026 for an organized technical visit to the plant’s facilities. 🗺️

Participants gained insight into the reverse osmosis desalination plant, the main stages of the water production process, as well as the important role of desalination in Cyprus’ water supply security. Information was also presented regarding the plant’s operational capacity and infrastructure, with the facility producing up to 20,000 cubic meters of potable water per day.

The tour ended in a very positive atmosphere, with participants expressing strong interest in the technologies and practices applied at the plant. The technical tour successfully connected the scientific content of the conference with the practical implementation of modern water resource management solutions.

Caramondani Desalination Plants also supported WDSA/CCWI 2026 as a sponsor, actively contributing to the success of the conference and promoting Cyprus as a center of expertise in the fields of water management and desalination.

Educational Visit from ZŠ Chrastice School 🌐

We had the pleasure of welcoming students and accompanying teachers from the Czech school ZŠ Chrastice to our Paphos Desalination Plant, for an educational visit focused on modern desalination processes and the importance of sustainable water resource management.

During the visit, the students toured the plant’s facilities and learned about the production of potable water through the reverse osmosis process, as well as the key operational stages of the plant, which has a daily production capacity of 20,000 cubic meters.

The visit concluded in a very positive atmosphere, highlighting the value of educational exchanges and the sharing of knowledge and experiences among students from different countries and cultures!

Thank you IMH for presenting Sebastian Caramondanis, Mechanical Engineer, as part of the Gen Z & Millennials Project by IMH.

“Joining the family business was not my original plan. I intended to stay in the United States for a few years after graduating. However, the COVID-19 pandemic changed my plans, as I returned to Cyprus to complete the final year of my studies remotely. That was when I started spending more time at the office with my father, which gradually led me to the path I am on today.”

The project is implemented with the support of PwC, European University Cyprus, Bank of Cyprus, Cablenet, with Toyota as the Mobility Partner, with the support of the European Commission Representation in Cyprus and IMR
as Supporter.
