📌Exciting milestone achieved for the Project!

➡️ We are proud to announce the successful launch of the MMS ATLAS back into the water, marking another important step in the barge's transformation journey.

➡️ With an LOA of 36.48m, Breadth of 18.24m, and GRT of 512 tons, MMS ATLAS has successfully completed months of preparation, planning, and engineering work.

➡️ The barge is now entering the next phase as we gear up for the upcoming retrofit campaign under the Project. This milestone brings us one step closer to demonstrating innovative and sustainable solutions that will contribute to the decarbonization of the maritime sector.

➡️As the retrofit works commence, we look forward to supporting the development of greener technologies and advancing the transition towards a more sustainable maritime industry.

📌As Posidonia Events 2026 comes to an end, Multimarine Services Group looks back on another successful presence at the world's premier maritime exhibition.

➡️Beyond the exhibition floor, Posidonia is a unique platform for networking, strengthening partnerships and engaging with the global maritime community.

➡️Throughout the week, we had the opportunity to connect with industry leaders, clients and stakeholders, exchanging ideas and exploring new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

➡️We would also like to extend our sincere congratulations to the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus / ΥΦΥΝ and Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis for the excellent organisation and representation of the Cypriot maritime delegation at Posidonia 2026, further strengthening Cyprus position as a leading international shipping centre.

📌Multimarine Services was pleased to participate with Professor Athanasios Kolios in the European Combat Vessel (ECV) Industry Workshop in Cádiz, contributing to the WP5 Hull Design discussions on future naval structures, materials and specialist components.

➡️ The ECV is a major European initiative aimed at developing a future family of modular, interoperable and scalable naval combat vessels for the 2035+ horizon. It brings together participating European nations, industry and defence stakeholders to shape the next generation of surface combatant capability.

➡️ Multimarine’s contribution focused on how the Cyprus-based shipyard and our marine engineering capabilities can support this vision through three practical areas:

Area 1: Modular interfaces for future capability insertion
Area 2: Digital passports for requirements-to-delivery traceability
Area 3: Fleet sustainment and operational readiness support in the Eastern Mediterranean

➡️ The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to engage with leading European shipyards, defence companies and national representatives on the future of collaborative naval capability in Europe.

➡️ Our message is clear: Cyprus-based industry can play a meaningful role in the European naval ecosystem, particularly in shipyard support, structural fabrication, integration, traceability, maintenance and lifecycle sustainment.

➡️ We would like to thank the Cyprus Ministry of Defence and the European Defence Agency for their support and coordination, and all participants for the constructive discussions.
