I want to dedicate this post to the lost of a very special person in my life, Mr. Willem Trapenberg. I met Wim in 2013, when he hired me at W.G. Trapenberg AC Services as his new designer/calculator. Wim trusted me even without experience or knowledge in the HVAC world. With a lot of patience and dedication he taught me all I know today in the HVAC world. But beyond the technical knowledge Wim also taught me about integrity, honesty and to always be fair and just. Beside being my former boss he was like a father to me, and most importantly my friend. I will miss our conversations and good advices. Thank you for everything Wim, I will forever be grateful to you and your wife Ingrid, for now let's say good bye and till we meet again my friend. Rest in peace Wim.

Customer came with a sound problem. The pomp was producing almost 80dB and this needed to be reduced. Solution: Pumproom was insulated and a custom 'quiet box' was build to cover the pump, allowing air flow but reducing significantly the sound by an average of 19 dB! Now the pomp produces less sound than two people having a conversation.

You replaced your old AC with an inverter model and you are paying the same or even more in electrical bills? First thing you need to check is your AC setting point. If your AC is set below 22 Celcius it means that the compressor will have to work harder to maintain the desired temperature. The harder the compressor has to work the more electricity it will consume. Recommendation: Set your temperature at 24 Celcius. If after one hour you are not satisfy lowered it with 1 degree (23 Celcius) and again after one hour to 22 Celcius if still not satisfy. After this if you are still not happy with the temperature you need to check if 1) The AC size is the correct one for the space or 2) If the AC is working properly. At this stage it would be wise to call a profesional to have ta look at the situation. The inverter technology can help you safe money but only if used correctly.

Inverter air conditioners promise greater efficiency along with quieter operation. Consumer Reports explains this technology and helps you to decide if you should buy in.
