Long-term friction from metal wires creates "annular grooves" on the die. These seemingly minor grooves can cause die core material to flake off, acting as an abrasive that accelerates wear and can even lead to the entire die shattering and becoming scrap!

【Penny's Pro Tip: Fixing Misaligned Threads on a Rolling Machine!】

Hi everyone, it's Penny! 👋

Ever get those messy, overlapping threads from your thread rolling machine? It’s a common problem, but the fix is surprisingly simple!

Today, I found a classic case of misaligned threads. When you look closely, you can see the crest of the thread from the right roller is hitting the crest of the thread from the left roller, instead of nesting perfectly in the groove. This creates a messy, "crossed" pattern.

The solution is all about a minor vertical adjustment. You have two choices:
1️⃣ Nudge the right-side roller UP slightly.
2️⃣ Nudge the left-side roller DOWN slightly.

Since the adjustment mechanism on my machine is on the left, I simply lowered the left roller just a tiny bit. After re-engaging it, the result was a perfect, clean thread pattern, with both sides lining up on the exact same line. ✅

Don't let misaligned threads ruin your workpiece! It's a quick adjustment that makes all the difference. Check out the video to see it in action!

【Penny's Production Notes: Why Does Copper Wire Break? This Might Be the Culprit!】

Hi everyone, it's Penny! 👋

Recently, many friends have been asking me why the copper wire on their production lines keeps breaking or peeling, causing unnecessary waste and downtime. If you're facing the same issue, I suggest you first check a critical—yet often overlooked—component: the wire drawing die!

When you find a large amount of copper shavings accumulated at the die's entrance, consider it a warning sign! This usually means the "compression zone" inside the die is severely worn. A healthy compression zone should have an angle between 12-16 degrees, but prolonged use can wear it down, causing the angle to increase and directly compromising the lubrication effect.

Once lubrication fails, it leads to:
1️⃣ A sharp increase in friction -> The drawing force exceeds the wire's limit -> Wire breaks!
2️⃣ A rapid rise in temperature -> The copper wire surface adheres to the die -> Peeling and scratching!

So, stop blaming the wire itself. The fundamental solution is to establish a strict inspection and maintenance schedule for your dies, regularly checking the condition of the compression and lubrication zones. A tiny die plays a huge role in product quality and production efficiency!
