LS ASTM B167 UNS N0825 is a ânickel-iron-chromium-based austenitic alloyâ belonging to the UNS N08825 series, renowned for its âexceptional corrosion resistance and high-temperature stabilityâ. Its core composition includes nickel (38-46%), chromium (19.5-23.5%), iron (balance), molybdenum (2.5-3.5%), and copper (1.5-3.0%). It is widely applied in âchemical, marine, and environmental fieldsâ, such as âsulfuric acid pickling equipment, offshore oil and gas extraction equipment, and wastewater treatment facilitiesâ.
The alloy exhibits âoutstanding corrosion resistanceâ, resisting corrosion from sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, and alkali metals, particularly performing excellently in âchloride-containing environmentsâ (e.g., seawater, salt spray). Under high temperatures, it maintains âstable mechanical propertiesâ and demonstrates âgood machinability and weldabilityâ. Its ex*****on standards include âASTM B167â and âASTM B423â, ensuring material reliability in harsh environments.
