What an Automatic Paper Bag Machine Quote Should Include
Someone asked us for an automatic paper bag machine price last week. Before sending numbers, we asked a few questions back:
• What bag size are you planning to make?
• Square bottom or flat bottom?
• Do you need handles?
• What paper weight are you running?
• Which voltage does your factory use?
This isn't to slow things down. It's because the same "automatic paper bag machine" can be built with very different specifications.
For example, square bottom paper bag machines in our lineup can handle bag widths from around 80 mm up to 550 mm, depending on the model. Paper weights typically range from 50 to 150 gsm. Speeds can go from 30 up to 260 bags per minute. Power, floor space, and total weight also change from model to model.
So when you compare automatic paper bag machine price, don't look only at the number. Compare:
1. Bag size range — can this machine actually make your bags?
2. Bottom style — square bottom machines are common for food packaging and retail bags.
3. Handle format — flat rope, round rope, or no handle?
4. Paper weight range — too light or too heavy affects forming and gluing.
5. Compliance — ask about EMC and other documentation for your target market.
6. After-sales support — installation, training, spare parts.
A cheaper quote can look good until it can't hold the bottom width or paper thickness you need. The extra cost shows up later in change parts, downtime, or rejected bags.
At Ruizhi Machinery, we make both flat bottom and square bottom paper bag machines, and we've exported to more than 60 countries. We don't treat price as a standalone number. It belongs with the full specification. Our team also provides installation and commissioning support, not just the machine.
If you're in the research or evaluation stage, one useful habit is to ask the supplier for a specification sheet with the exact range, not just the maximum speed. Then ask for compliance documents. For example, the RZFD-450A carries an EMC Technical File — cert. TEZJ25070172615, issued by Shanghai Global Testing Service Co., Ltd., covering EN 61000, valid through 2030. That level of detail gives you something real to compare.
What's the first spec you look at when comparing paper bag machine quotes? We'd love to know.
