Every precise swing is built on control—fluid motion, balanced force and confidence through every movement.

The same precision matters in endoscopy. With flexible maneuverability, responsive force transmission and ergonomic control, Comen’s EIS series helps clinicians navigate complex anatomy with greater ease and confidence.

Because precision is not only in where you aim.
It is in how every movement gets you there.

Precision in Motion.

From clinical exchange to lasting collaboration.

What began with an initial visit in April, followed by online discussions in July, came to life this August at Al-Hussein University Hospital, Al-Azhar University.

As part of the Egypt program of the China-Africa Hospitals Alliance Critical Care Working Group, Chinese and Egyptian clinicians came together around real cases and real clinical decisions. Local physicians shared complex ICU cases, while Prof. Ming Zhong, Director of Critical Care Medicine at Zhongshan Hospital, Fudan University, brought perspectives from an individualized ARDS case — exploring how driving pressure, lung compliance and EIT can support more patient-specific decisions.

“Treatment cannot be one size fits all,” Prof. Zhong emphasized.

The exchange extended from case discussion to ICU-based hands-on learning, with the ventilation workshop brought directly into the ICU and young clinicians actively involved.

As one Egyptian clinician reflected, “Our goal is not just to save life. Our goal is to return the patient to life.”

The program concluded with the signing of an MOU between Comen, Prof. Ming Zhong, and Prof. Muhammad Hashish, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Al-Hussein University Hospital, formalizing a shared commitment to deeper cooperation through continued case exchange, physician development, academic visits and future research collaboration.

Building Critical Care Capacity Across Africa | Kenya Chapter

Under the framework of the China-Africa Hospitals Alliance and the Belt and Road Initiative, the Critical Care Clinical Treatment and Innovation Transformation Working Group, supported by Comen, is committed to advancing sustainable critical care development through clinical exchange, capacity building and long-term partnership.

As part of the Working Group’s ongoing efforts across Africa, the Kenya program brought together Chinese and Kenyan experts at Kenyatta National Hospital for academic exchange, bedside discussions, hands-on training and collaborative solutions addressing real clinical needs.

The program concluded with the signing of a long-term cooperation memorandum, establishing a foundation for continued clinical collaboration, remote exchange and local capability development.

Together, we are transforming shared expertise into stronger critical care capacity across Africa.
