How can you add a window cutout to a large corrugated sleeve box—without making a cutting die?

At a customer site in Qingzhou, China, the AOPACK BM3000-HD uses its vibrating knife system to digitally cut the window shape directly from corrugated board.

No cutting die required. This provides greater flexibility for custom designs, short runs and frequently changing orders.

The AOPACK BM3000-HD is now in production at a customer facility in Madrid, Spain.

In this video, two operators load corrugated sheets measuring 4,000 × 2,000 mm into the machine. The completed oversized box blanks are then collected, folded and stacked on pallets.

The machine is also equipped with flexographic printing, allowing a small recycling symbol to be printed directly onto the board during production. This eliminates the need for a separate printing machine for this application.

Before installing the BM3000-HD, the customer had to outsource these oversized box orders.

Now they can produce them directly in their own factory, reducing outsourcing costs and improving production flexibility.

The machine completes the box processing while also printing a full-surface black design directly onto the outer liner.
