The OptiX RTN 905 launched by Huawei is the industry's first 5G microwave device. The OptiX RTN 905 adopts technologies such as CA, 8KQAM modulation, and super dual band microwave (common-band and E-band microwave) to provide transmission bandwidths of up to 10 Gbps. Using Huawei's next-generation chips and optimization algorithms, the OptiX RTN 905 reduces single-hop latency from hundreds of microseconds to tens of microseconds, which is far lower than the latency requirement of 5G on bearer networks. The innovative modular antenna enables smooth evolution to 5G networks without changing the antenna installation platform or replacing the boards rather than the 10GE IDU subrack, maximizing the return on investment (ROI) in live networks.
The RTN 905 is a 1U integrated case-shaped device. It integrates not only the functions of the system control, switching, and timing board, but also the functions of the service board, interface board, and auxiliary board. A single NE supports deployment of an access site with multiple rates.
