As of April 21, 2025, the left line of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway's first section from Gushu to Xixiang Station was successfully completed.

The Qianhai section of the Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Railway starts from the already operational Shenzhen Airport Station and ends at Qianhai Station, with a total length of approximately 15.15 kilometers. It is laid underground. There are a total of three stations along the entire line, namely Xixiang, Bao 'an and Qianhai. The designed speed of this engineering project is 160km/h, and it adopts an 8-car CRH6 EMU.

After its completion, the intercity bullet train will directly reach Qianhai and Bao 'an Center, connecting Guangzhou, Dongguan and Shenzhen, and forming a "golden corridor". This is of great significance for improving the intercity network in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and achieving economic integration.
