Hidden inside metal are invisible killers that even aircraft, high-speed rail, and nuclear power systems fear most.

But Eddy Current Testing (ECT) is the industrial world’s electromagnetic “X-ray vision.”

✅ No disassembly
✅ No couplant
✅ No direct contact
✅ Fast detection of surface & near-surface cracks and corrosion

Here’s the science behind it:
An energized probe generates an alternating magnetic field.
When it approaches conductive material, eddy currents are induced inside the metal.

If the material is sound, the current flows smoothly.
But when cracks, corrosion, or defects appear, the eddy current path is disrupted instantly.

The probe captures these signal changes and reveals hidden defects before failure happens.

That’s why aerospace, petrochemical, automotive, and power generation industries rely on Eddy Current Testing to keep critical components safe.

⚠️ Of course, ECT also has limitations:
It only works on conductive materials, and very deep defects are harder to detect.
