A Vacuum-Fresh vegetable vacuum cooler lowers a vacuum chamber below 660 Pa, the saturation vapour pressure of water, so produce cools by low-temperature boiling.

Vacuum cooling starts with a rotary vane pump or water-ring pump pulling the vacuum chamber down below 660 Pa. If the pump is undersized, pre-pumping time exceeds the usable cycle and cooling is nearly zero. In one verified case, a 5.5 kW rotary vane pump at about 100 m3/h on an 8 m3 vegetable vacuum cooler had an ideal pre-pumping time of 24.6 min, but line losses raised actual pre-pumping to 32 min.

For vacuum precooling, the baseline for an 8 m3 chamber is at least a 7.5 kW rotary vane pump at 180 m3/h, giving about 18 min pre-pumping. A 2 m3 chamber with a 2.4 kW pump at 25 m3/h needs about 25 min pre-pumping, which leaves no cooling inside a 20-30 min cycle. The practical sizing formula is actual pre-pumping time = (V / S) × ln(101325/660) × 1.3, where V is chamber volume in m3 and S is total pump speed in m3/h.

Vacuum-Fresh model codes follow chamber volume: a CVF-1000 with an 8 m3 chamber needs at least a 7.5 kW pump at 180 m3/h for about 18 min pre-pumping; a CVF-2000 with a 16 m3 chamber needs two 11 kW pumps at 280 m3/h each for about 11 min. A CVF-6000 with a 30 m3 chamber needs two 15 kW pumps at 600 m3/h each for about 13 min, and a CVF-12000 with a 66 m3 chamber needs two 15 kW pumps at 630 m3/h each for about 13 min. For vacuum cooling of high-moisture or high-temperature loads, a water-ring pump can serve as a pre-stage steam extraction pump; for a vacuum freeze dryer or food vacuum cooler, a Roots pump can raise limit vacuum.

In a food vacuum cooler, refrigerant and compressor selection matter, but a vapour condenser also protects the pump oil from water vapour. If it does not work, oil can emulsify and turn milky like soy milk; stop the pump under no load for 5-10 min before shutdown and change oil when this happens. If pump speed drops, check the intake filter, exhaust valve carbon, oil level and pump chamber wear; a measured limit vacuum that differs from the nominal value by more than 30% calls for service.

Chamber volume: 8 m3
Minimum rotary vane pump: 7.5 kW at 180 m3/h
Pre-pumping time: about 18 min
Chamber pressure: below 660 Pa

How long does vacuum precooling take for an 8 m3 chamber?
With a 7.5 kW rotary vane pump at 180 m3/h, pre-pumping takes about 18 min.

If you need to check pump sizing for a vegetable vacuum cooler, send the chamber volume, pump speed and target cycle time.

Vacuum-Fresh vacuum cooling equipment runs its cold trap at -10 °C to -5 °C, well above the -22 °C ev***rating temperature an ice machine needs.

Ice making pulls the ev***rator down to around -22 °C and the condensing side sits at 40 °C. A vacuum cooler holds its cold trap at -10 °C to -5 °C, so compressor power is higher for the same nominal capacity.

State the condition with every cooling capacity; capacities at different ev***rating temperatures are not comparable. A water-cooled tube ice machine rated 58 kW and a flake machine rated 78 kW, both at -22 °C ev***rating and 40 °C condensing, are not the same duty as a vacuum cooler running a cold trap at -10 °C to -5 °C.

Installed power is not compressor power. On the LRT-8T water-cooled tube ice unit, 68 kW installed covers a 32.5 kW compressor plus a 1.5 kW fan, a 2.5 kW water pump, a 3 kW cutting motor and a 4 kW circulation pump. The same rule applies when you size refrigeration for vacuum cooling.

Flake ice at 1.5 mm to 2.2 mm melts fast and suits seafood preservation; tube ice at 29 mm x 30 mm melts slower and suits continuous cooling. A vacuum cooler is selected the same way: start from what the product needs, then pick the machine.

Vacuum cooler cold trap: -10 °C to -5 °C
Ice machine ev***rating temperature: -22 °C
Ice machine condensing temperature: 40 °C
Flake ice thickness: 1.5 mm to 2.2 mm
Tube ice segment: 29 mm x 30 mm

What cold trap temperature do Vacuum-Fresh vacuum coolers run?
Vacuum-Fresh vacuum coolers run a cold trap at -10 °C to -5 °C, while ice making needs about -22 °C ev***rating temperature.

If you are working through a vacuum cooling duty, reply with the product, the daily load and the site condition.

Vacuum-Fresh builds vegetable vacuum coolers, food vacuum coolers and vacuum freeze dryers for 50 kg to 6,000 kg batches and 0.4 m² to 100 m² shelf areas.

For a vegetable vacuum cooler, the CVF-1000 to CVF-6000 range covers 1,000 kg to 6,000 kg per batch for leafy greens, mushrooms, berries and cut flowers. A food vacuum cooler from CVF-50 to CVF-1000 covers 50 kg to 1,000 kg per batch for cooked meats, central kitchens and bakeries.

The vacuum freeze dryer line covers CVD-040 to CVD-10000, with 0.4 m² to 100 m² shelf area, for freeze-dried fruit, vegetables, pet food, extracts and ready-to-eat meals. In freeze drying, also called lyophilization, the vacuum chamber, refrigeration circuit, cold trap, vacuum system and control logic are designed as one system.

Vacuum-Fresh engineers the complete vacuum cooling system around the product, batch weight and target core temperature. The cooling load, vacuum ramp and moisture load are calculated separately for each project, so a vacuum pre-cooler for a packhouse and a vacuum cooler for a central kitchen are not the same machine with a different name. The refrigeration side uses semi-hermetic compressors, screw for large models and scroll for small models; the vacuum side uses rotary vane vacuum pumps, and adjacent equipment includes an industrial chiller and cold storage.

A vacuum freeze dryer for fruit or ready-to-eat meals uses the same process-first sizing as a food vacuum cooler. Freeze drying and lyophilization require the cold trap and vacuum system to be matched to the moisture load. An industrial chiller and cold storage are adjacent equipment, not the vacuum chamber or vapour-condensing system.

Batch range: 50 kg to 6,000 kg
Vegetable vacuum cooler batch range: 1,000 kg to 6,000 kg
Freeze dryer shelf area: 0.4 m² to 100 m²
Power configuration: 380V/50Hz/3P standard; 220V/60Hz, 380V/60Hz and 600V/60Hz on request

What batch size does a vegetable vacuum cooler handle?
Vacuum-Fresh vegetable vacuum coolers cover 1,000 kg to 6,000 kg per batch across CVF-1000 to CVF-6000 models.

Vacuum-Fresh vacuum cooling can drop a produce core temperature from ambient to 4 C in under 30 minutes, and a vegetable vacuum cooler can complete the drop in 20-40 minutes.

Vacuum-Fresh vacuum cooling works by lowering the boiling point of water under reduced pressure. From farm to table, 20%-30% of fruits and vegetables are lost to spoilage. At 660 Pa or below, surface moisture ev***rates at 2 C to 3 C, and each gram removes about 2260 J of latent heat.

For leafy greens, a typical vacuum cooling cycle uses initial cooling to 800-1000 Pa over 0-15 minutes, a hold at 550-660 Pa for 15-25 minutes, and a balance at 2-4 C for 25-30 minutes. A food vacuum cooler can move from ambient to 4 C in 20-40 minutes, compared with 4-8 hours in a cold room. The data set shows 10x faster cooling.

Batch capacity for the CVF series is stated by model. CVF-1000 handles 1,000-1,200 kg of leafy greens per cycle, CVF-2000 handles 2,000-2,400 kg, and CVF-6000 handles 6,000-7,200 kg. Cooling time is 25-35 minutes for CVF-1000 and CVF-2000.

Real-world data shows leafy greens cooled from 28 C to 3 C in 28 minutes, mushrooms from 26 C to 4 C in 32 minutes, and blueberries from 30 C to 5 C in 25 minutes. Leafy green weight loss was 1.2% versus 4.8% in a cold-room control, and shelf life moved from 3 days to 10 days. A vacuum cooler can reduce browning and mold infection rates.

Vacuum cooling is not suitable for every throughput. A good fit is daily leafy green or mushroom throughput of at least 5 tons; below 1 ton is less suitable. For high-respiration produce, the vacuum cooler provides uniform, inside-out cooling with weight loss of 1%-2.5%.

Chamber pressure: ≤660 Pa
Ev***ration temperature: 2 C to 3 C
Initial cooling pressure: 800 Pa to 1000 Pa
Hold pressure: 550 Pa to 660 Pa
Balance temperature: 2 C to 4 C

How fast does vacuum cooling cool leafy greens?
Vacuum cooling can drop core temperature from ambient to 4 C in 20-40 minutes.

For a Vacuum-Fresh CVF-1000-2P food vacuum cooler, the design handles 1000 kg per 30-minute cycle at 82.6 kW cooling cap...
29/09/2026

For a Vacuum-Fresh CVF-1000-2P food vacuum cooler, the design handles 1000 kg per 30-minute cycle at 82.6 kW cooling capacity, with air-cooled or water-cooled condenser options.

The CVF-1000-2P is a food vacuum cooler platform used for vacuum cooling and vacuum precooling duty in vegetable vacuum cooler work. The condenser choice changes the refrigerant-side operating point: air-cooled condensing temperature is 35 C to 45 C, while water-cooled condensing temperature is 28 C to 35 C. Heat transfer temperature difference is 8 C to 15 C for the air-cooled scheme and 4 C to 8 C for the water-cooled scheme.

For vacuum precooling and vacuum cooling cycles, the water-cooled scheme gives EER 4.5 to 6.0 against 3.0 to 4.5 for the air-cooled scheme. Its energy use is 65% to 75% of the air-cooled baseline. A vegetable vacuum cooler in a humid coastal region can use a water-cooled condenser with cooling tower, circulating pump and water tank, while a vegetable vacuum cooler in a water-limited inland region can use an air-cooled condenser.

The condenser is the heat-rejection side of the refrigerant circuit; the vacuum chamber, vapour condenser, water-ring pump, rotary vane pump and Roots pump are the vacuum-side components in the cooling circuit. Maintenance intervals also differ. The air-cooled condenser needs fin cleaning every 7 to 10 days; the water-cooled shell-and-tube condenser needs cleaning every 30 to 45 days. Overhaul interval is 3 to 5 years for air-cooled and 5 to 7 years for water-cooled.

Water quality matters for the water-cooled option: hardness below 100 ppm is stated. In high ambient temperature, the water-cooled scheme operates better, and an ambient temperature below 32 C is listed as ideal. For limited water supply, the air-cooled scheme avoids cooling tower and water treatment.

Throughput: 1000 kg/cycle
Cycle time: 30 min/cycle
Cooling capacity: 82.6 kW (71000 kcal/h)
Air-cooled condensing temperature: 35 C to 45 C
Water-cooled condensing temperature: 28 C to 35 C

Which CVF-1000-2P condenser scheme gives the lower condensing temperature?
The water-cooled scheme runs at 28 C to 35 C; the air-cooled scheme runs at 35 C to 45 C.

For a technical review, share your product load, ambient conditions and water availability.

The more accounts your AI operations system connects, the more you must control the entry point. We manage 13 email accounts (9 business + 4 for another brand), 6 types of platform tools, 5 independent work partitions, and two servers. Our rule: partition isolation + whitelists + centralized credential management. Three lessons: credentials stored globally mixed company and personal accounts for tools like WeChat and Yuanbao, almost sending messages to the wrong target; one brand's AppID was copied into another's backend; and all 13 email accounts used default sending/checking, causing missed bounces and account confusion. The root fix: define the scope clearly—who can use what, what they can do, and where it lives.

We split the system into 5 isolated partitions: main brand, overseas content, personal matters, second brand, and new-hire-only. Each has its own skills, scheduled tasks, and memory, so changes don't cross-contaminate. The Feishu bot only accepts pushes from the owner's ID by default; other messages get no response. Each brand uses its own bot credentials, keeping push channels separate. All platform account configs—official account IDs, passwords, emails, backend URLs, server info—live in one controlled file, read on demand, not scattered across tasks. Change a password once and it applies system-wide; credentials stay out of chat and body text; the boss-only mailbox is marked "not included in automated mass sending." Remember: centralize credentials, read on demand, minimize scope—never put them global.

Copyable six-step checklist: 1) inventory every account: platform, account, brand owner, user (ours: 13 emails + 6 platform tools); 2) partition by business—one brand per partition, at least one production and one test area; 3) centralize credentials, never global; 4) add whitelists wherever possible for bots, APIs, scheduled pushes; 5) keep audits—bounce records and operation logs archived separately; 6) review monthly—AppID, keys, permissions—watching for copy errors and expirations. FAQ: even a one- or two-person factory should split production/test; centralized credentials are easier to secure than scattered ones; whitelists are default-deny, add and remove people as needed. Bottom line: permission management isn't locking everything down—it's defining scope. Review configs for half an hour monthly instead of spending half a day troubleshooting later. Past reviews: Tutorial 11 memory system (rule, condensed, long-term layers plus monthly cleanup) and Tutorial 09 Feishu collaboration/report automation (7 AM push, 200-word summary, whitelist). Next: model selection and switching—how one system uses multiple models. Based on real experience from a food machinery manufacturing company; no specific products or parameters, just AI in factory management.

Wondering why food vacuum rapid cooling quotes can differ by tens of thousands? Two systems may both say “vacuum rapid cooling,” but the price gap usually comes down to three configs: the vacuum system, refrigeration capacity, and water-trap design. These decide how high an inlet temperature the machine can handle, how low it can pull the final temperature, batch time, and energy use. Mature systems use two-stage cooling: a water-ring pump handles the hot, humid 90°C→50°C phase and captures moisture as a first-stage trap. Then the refrigeration system cools the water trap, and a rotary vane pump pulls the product down to 10°C or even 4°C. You need both pump types—that’s what separates a true vacuum rapid cooler from ordinary vacuum packaging equipment.

Take a 500kg braised-food batch cooling from 90°C to 10°C in 15 minutes. The standard version uses 2 Copeland scroll compressors with ~88kW total cooling capacity; the low-energy version uses 1 Copeland scroll at ~44kW and relies on chilled water plus refrigerant for the water trap. Both share the same pump set—2BV5131 water-ring pump (11kW), 300-type rotary vane pump (7.5kW)—and the same YXEV-20 trap (20m²). Total installed power is about 67kW vs 45kW; usage is ~11.25kWh vs 7.0kWh per batch. Price quoted without tax

The freshness of blueberries is decided in the hours right after harvest. Fruit comes off the bush at 24-28°C, still respiring and releasing field heat. Unless the core temperature is pulled down quickly, firmness drops, bloom rubs off, and decay rises — by the time it reaches market, shelf life can be down to days.

Vacuum pre-cooling is one of the most direct ways to cool blueberries fast. The principle is straightforward: load the berries into a vacuum chamber, draw a vacuum so surface moisture ev***rates under low pressure, and the latent heat of ev***ration carries heat out of the fruit. For a small, high-surface-area berry full of moisture, this cools quickly and evenly.

**Real case (blueberry region, Chile):** A 3,000 kg/batch vacuum pre-cooling line using a CVF-3000 cools blueberries from 25°C down to 2°C in about 25-30 minutes, with water loss held under 2%. The cooled berries go straight into cold chain for export to the US/European market.

**How to size it?** Three things matter for blueberry vacuum pre-cooling: batch capacity, target temperature, and on-site cold source. Batch size decides the model — a small farm handling a few hundred kg to a ton uses a CVF-500 to CVF-1000; a medium sorting line at 3-5 tonnes uses a CVF-3000 to CVF-4500. Target temperature is typically 2-5°C for cold-chain transport or storage. For the cold source, the vacuum pre-cooler carries its own refrigeration system — a v***r condenser (the ev***rator side of the refrigeration loop) condenses the ev***rated moisture, and the cooling capacity comes from the compressor set.

**Key parameters (vegetable vacuum pre-cooler standard):**
- Inlet temperature: ambient 25-30°C
- Target temperature: 2-5°C
- Cooling time: about 25-40 minutes
- Water loss: about 2-3%
- Vacuum pressure: ≤600 Pa

Blueberries are a high-respiration berry — every hour that cooling is delayed after harvest can cost days of shelf life. Vacuum pre-cooling is the step that moves field heat into the cold chain the fastest.

If you would like to work out the batch capacity and model for your packing facility, we are happy to discuss your numbers.
