On September 1, China National Chemical Engineering No.13 Construction Co.,Ltd(CNCEC-CC13) successfully completed the critical milestone of compressor foundation pouring at the Kazakhstan Silleno Polyethylene Project. As a national key petrochemical project in Kazakhstan, the facility represents a total investment of USD 7.7 billion and is scheduled to commence production in 2029. With an annual output of 1.25 million tonnes of polyethylene, the project will address the shortfall in high-end petrochemical capacity in the country and bolster the local industrial chain.

CNCEC-CC6 Cambodia LNG Project launches special mosquito control campaign on August 31. Cambodia has a tropical monsoon climate and is currently in its rainy season, characterized by high temperatures, heavy rainfall, and humid conditions, an environment conducive to mosquito breeding, which poses potential risks to the health of personnel and camp food safety. To break the transmission chain of mosquito-borne diseases at the source, the project has strictly implemented health and hygiene control standards applicable to overseas construction sites, with routine mosquito control operations carried out on a regular basis. For this campaign, fast-evaporating, eco-friendly insecticides were selected to effectively protect the health of all personnel while mitigating potential risks to the camp, thereby reinforcing the health and safety defense line for the smooth and orderly progress of the project.

The newly issued uniforms include long-sleeved shirts, trousers, and matching caps, featuring reflective stripes and multi-pocket designs. They are well-suited for various duty scenarios including outdoor patrols, access control, and nighttime guard duties, offering strong practicality. Recently, the KFM Project site of CNCEC-CC6 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) extended heartfelt wedding congratulations and a gift to employee SAMY.
At the wedding ceremony, SAMY introduced his Chinese colleagues to his wife and expressed his delight, inviting the Chinese friends to take group photos with his family. Following local customs, the Chinese employees danced with everyone, bringing the warmth of the project family in a way well-received by local people.

Recently, all heavy lifting works for 2 x 1 million t/a Sulfur Burning Acid Project in Indonesia were completed by CNCEC-CC2, marked by the placement of the last set of heat exchanger. This has unlocked the critical path for piping installation, structural construction, and system commissioning, firmly underpinning quality enhancement, schedule optimization, and on-schedule project delivery.
Heavy lifting is a key procedure of the project construction. Faced with challenges such as oversized equipment, high installation precision and complex working conditions, CNCEC-CC2 project team demonstrated excellent coordination and problem-solving capabilities. They took advantage of CNCEC-CC2’s strengths in heavy equipment lifting, self-performed steel structure manufacturing and well-structured overseas project management system, completing lifting tasks of 15 large equipment safely, efficiently, and to high standards. In the next phase, the team will steadily proceed with the follow-up construction activities, and conduct strict quality and safety controls to deliver an overseas benchmark project of excellence.

Recently, CNCEC-CC2 launched a 100-Day Intensive Construction Campaign for its Zhongda Oil Refinery Oil Products Quality Upgrade Project, focusing on quality, speed and efficiency. With coordinated collaboration, CNCEC-CC2 allocated various resources, formulated detailed construction methods, and clarified responsibilities. Strictly observing the quality and safety standards throughout the process, it made every effort to ensure smooth progress of the project.
This project is a key endeavor in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and delivering on the outcomes of the China - Central Asia Summit. It is also an important example of collaborative market development along the Silk Road. As the Zhongda Oil Refinery Oil Products Quality Upgrade Project enters the critical 100-Day Intensive Construction Campaign phase, CNCEC-CC2 conducted a summer care activity for construction personnel facing a heavy workload while experiencing persistently high temperatures. The heatstroke prevention medicine, cooling supplies, and other articles were distributed to construction crew. They were instructed to take proper heat protection and strictly follow safety procedures. Additionally, the project team took a series of effective measures to ensure safe construction under high temperatures.
The care initiative has significantly boosted team cohesion. Everyone was inspired to overcome difficulties, achieve the targets, and ensure the high-standard delivery of this benchmark China-Kyrgyzstan energy cooperation project.
