Meet the tunnel’s “smart assembly specialist.” 🤖
Developed by CRCC for Singapore’s Cross Island Line project, the diaphragm wall intelligent assembly robot has completed final assembly and commissioning in Changsha, Hunan, and is ready for shipment to Singapore.
Designed for large-diameter tunnel construction, the robot can lift, position, and install heavy components with millimeter-level precision, improving construction efficiency by more than 30%. It can also move autonomously and monitor its operating status and surroundings in real time, reducing manual intervention.

One cable, connecting the two banks of the Yangtze River.
The pilot cable for the Libu Yangtze River Road-Rail Bridge in Jingzhou, Hubei, in which CRCC is participating in the construction, was recently pulled across the river.
Stretching approximately 7.9 kilometers with a main span of 1,120 meters, the bridge will carry a high-speed railway, a Class-I highway, and an expressway.
The pilot cable will guide the installation of the catwalk and main cables, marking a key step toward connecting the bridge’s two main towers.

A stronger water supply is taking shape in Simiyu, Tanzania.
The Simiyu Water Project, constructed by CCECC, has reached several key milestones, with more than 100 kilometers of main pipelines laid and around 80% of the distribution network completed.
Covering water intake, storage, transmission, and distribution, the project will provide a more stable and reliable water supply to around 103 administrative villages and hundreds of thousands of residents across the Simiyu region.

🤖 Meet the tunnel’s “smart inspection officer.”
Tunnel inspections once relied heavily on workers checking cracks, water seepage, and lining damage on foot—time-consuming work often affected by lighting and site conditions.
Developed by CRCC, the tunnel inspection robot can travel autonomously along the track, scan tunnel surfaces, capture images, and inspect track conditions simultaneously.
Already deployed on a Chongqing Metro project, the system is making inspections more efficient and comprehensive while creating digital records for future maintenance and long-term monitoring.

Meet the TBM's "best partner."
Shotcrete spraying is a vital part of tunnel construction. Traditionally, it required workers to operate in dusty conditions and rely heavily on experience.
Developed by CRCC, the intelligent TBM shotcrete robot can independently scan, spray, and inspect tunnel surfaces, allowing operators to monitor the process remotely.
Already deployed on multiple tunnel projects, the system is making tunnel support construction safer, more efficient, and more consistent.

A world-class tunneling project is now underway.
The Mangshan Tunnel on the Jiaozuo-Pingdingshan High-speed Railway, constructed by CRCC, has entered the shield tunneling phase.
With an excavation diameter of 14.57 meters, it is currently the world's largest earth pressure balance (EPB) shield tunnel for high-speed rail. Powered by the intelligent "Jiaoping No. 1" shield machine, the project uses real-time monitoring and automated tunneling technologies to improve construction efficiency by around 30%.

A new station is taking shape for Chile's future rail network.
Recently, Batuco Station—the first newly built station of the Batuco Railway Project constructed by CRCC—officially entered the main structural construction phase.
The 24-kilometer railway will connect five cities in Chile's Capital Region and integrate with several metro lines, providing residents with more convenient and efficient public
transportation once completed.

A new heavyweight for bridge construction is ready for action.
Recently, the world's largest bridge tower crane, developed with the participation of , successfully completed its load test and is set to be deployed on the Wanlong Grand Bridge, the world's largest-span self-anchored suspension bridge.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 760 tonnes, a lifting height of over 400 metres, and a lifting moment of 23,000 ton-metres, the crane is designed to handle massive steel components and other critical lifting operations with greater efficiency.
