📅 On August 26, the launch ceremony of CNBM’s 7th “Smart Use of Resources Day” Open Event, alongside the 10th anniversary activities of the “CNBM-Sinoma” restructuring, was held in Beijing.
🌱 Over the past seven years, more than 500 companies around the world have opened their doors to the public, inviting the public to step inside building materials factories and experience first-hand a more open, greener and smarter building materials industry. The event was not only an opportunity to engage with the public, but also a showcase of CNBM’s continued efforts in sustainable development and industrial innovation.
🏭 In his speech, Chang Zhangli, General Manager of China National Building Material Group, said that “Making Good Use of Resources and Serving Construction” has always been a consistent development philosophy of the Group.
📽️ The event also featured the premiere of Reshaping the Cornerstone, looking back on CNBM’s decade-long journey of development.
📊 CNBM and 23 of its member companies released sustainability reports covering a wide range of fields, including cement, glass fiber, wind turbine blades, advanced glass materials and carbon fiber. The reports demonstrate CNBM’s practices and commitment to advancing ESG principles and sustainable development.
🏗️ Three keynote sessions focused on innovation in advanced materials and industrial collaboration. The innovative achievements of “Better Materials for Better Homes” were officially unveiled, further connecting the innovation chain of “better materials, better homes and better lives”. The development plan for the Suzhou Advanced Materials Valley presented a vision for industry-city integration through collaboration between central and local area. Meanwhile, trends in the application of advanced materials in home appliances and progress in related cooperation highlighted the broad potential for collaborative innovation across the industrial chain.
🏛️ Guests also visited the newly upgraded Group exhibition hall and materials art exhibition, taking a closer look at how carbon fiber, power-generating glass and high-performance composite materials are being applied across industry development, everyday life and artistic creation.
