Nickel-Titanium Alloy Wire (Nitinol Wire)
Nickel-titanium alloy wire is a shape-memory alloy primarily composed of nickel (Ni 54.5%–57%) and titanium (Ti, balance), combining both shape memory effect and superelasticity, and is known as "smart metal."

• Shape memory effect: After deformation at low temperature, the material can fully recover its original shape upon heating to the phase transition temperature (Af), for example, triggered by body temperature at 37°C.
• Superelasticity (pseudoplasticity): Capable of withstanding 8%–10% elastic strain at room temperature (compared to ~0.5% for conventional metals), automatically rebounds after bending, and has a fatigue life of up to 10⁷ cycles.
• Biocompatibility: Non-toxic and low allergenic, superior to 316L stainless steel, suitable for human implantation.
• Corrosion-resistant + high damping: Resistant to bodily fluids and seawater corrosion, with shock absorption capability 10 times that of spring steel.
