to Install Corrugated Polycarbonate Sheet ?

Installing corrugated polycarbonate sheets involves several key steps: measure precise,cut sheet, pre-drilling for expansion, install sheets,

proper sealing and supporting are also important, especially for larger roof projects.

Tools & Materials U Need:

Corrugated polycarbonate sheets

Supporting frame (wood or metal)

Screws with rubber washers

Drill & drill bits

Circular saw with fine blade or utility knife

Measuring tape & marker

Safety gear (gloves, goggles)

Installation Steps Guide:

1. Measure & Plan

-Measure the area U need to cover.

-Plan the layout so sheets overlap in the direction of water flow (roof pitch).

2. Cut Sheets (If Needed)

-Use a circular saw with a fine-tooth blade or a utility knife.

-Always cut with the sheet supported to avoid cracks.

3. Pre-drill Holes

-Drill holes slightly larger than the screw diameter to allow for expansion.

-Space holes about every 12–16 inches(30-40cm) along the support beams.

4. Install Sheets

-ensuring the UV-protected surface faces up and overlap sheets with the wind-resistant direction

-Place the first sheet at the edge of the roof.

-Fasten with screws and rubber washers at the top of the wave, not in the valleys.

-Overlap sheets by at least one wave.

-For ends, allow at least 2" (5cm) overhang for water runoff.

5. Seal & Finish

-Use ridge caps or flashing for joints.

-if necessary,use silicone sealant for additional waterproofing.

Install on a slope of at least 5° for drainage.

Do not overtighten screws – let the sheet move slightly with temperature changes.
