Women in Engineering Cameroon (WEC) proudly acknowledges the swearing-in of one of its founding members as a sworn engineer.

This milestone reflects the growing contribution of women in engineering to professional excellence, accountability, and nation-building. The role of a sworn engineer is critical in providing expert technical opinions, supporting judicial processes, and upholding standards within the engineering profession.

WEC celebrates this achievement as a step forward in strengthening female leadership and representation in technical and legal engineering domains.

We remain committed to empowering women engineers to take up strategic roles that influence policy, infrastructure development, and professional integrity.

There was no other better way at Women in Engineering Cameroon - WEC to end the women's month than to add value to these young female triblazers in the STEM fields.

WEC's Competition on the Most Innovative STEM Project Proposals for solving Real Community Challenges brought together students from different technical and secondary schools in the North West Region of Cameroon. Parents and guardian, supporters and government administrators graced the event.

The pre-selected 7 projects were pitched live and judged by an independent Jury made up of project writing and pitching experts. It is interesting and hilarious to know that these female students aged 10 - 15 yrs could present their projects using PowerPoint like professionals.

They presented beautiful and realistic solutions for poor water management, land pollution, food loss, sanitary problems, etc.

The top 3 winners went home with cash prizes for their encouragement. WEC will continue to coach and mentor them into realizing their projects.
