🚆 Science is even more rewarding when we can share it.

Earlier this year, our tooling and automation colleagues in Taiwan became students for a day, testing the activities prepared for the 2026 National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) Science Train. This past week, those activities completed their journey from the practice room to classrooms on rails, inviting students across Taiwan to explore science through hands-on learning.

Together with colleagues from SHL Medical and SHL Technologies, the SHL Advantec team helped turn principles behind injection molding, metal stamping, and autoinjector design into engaging experiments inspired by our work in industrial manufacturing and medical technology.

Last week, the Scient Train travelled across Taiwan, engaging elementary and junior high school students through hands-on learning. Seeing their curiosity in action reminded us that sharing knowledge can help inspire the engineers, innovators, and problem-solvers of tomorrow.

Larger-volume autoinjectors do not simply ask more of the device. They also ask more of the manufacturing strategy behind it.

As subcutaneous drug delivery evolves to support larger volumes and more complex formulations, manufacturers must consider how changing device architectures affect component handling, assembly process control, final device testing, and future scale-up requirements.
