Before looking for more water, let’s ask where we can use less. 💧
Water efficiency was on the agenda at Water Innovation Europe in Dublin on 13–14 October. For public and commercial buildings, that discussion translates into practical design questions:
-Which applications need drinking water?
-Where can consumption be reduced?
-And where can we eliminate flushing altogether?
Working in the sanitary sector, we are particularly interested in that last question. Waterless urinals offer one way to remove the need for flush water, while cleaning remains part of the operating plan.
The starting point should be a clear understanding of what each application actually requires. From there, we can select suitable technologies and assess their performance throughout everyday use.
Which water-consuming application would you rethink first in your building?
