Most doctors price a full-arch remake around a few thousand dollars.  But that’s not your true cost. That doesn’t include your business cost.  A full-arch remake burns a production block that should have been for a new case.  It pays your team to redo work. It delays collections. It upends your schedule.   It drags out treatment and chips away at patient confidence. And it often kills the next referral before it ever shows up.   Here’s the part most people miss: research shows many full-arch complications take a minimum of 5 years to show. What looks “good enough” today can become tomorrow’s wave of remakes and lost trust.   Now run the real math: 📉Materials and labor 📉Lost production. 📉Opportunity cost of the case you didn’t start. 📉And the referral that never comes.   You’re not at $3K. Your full-arch prosthesis can look perfectly passive at delivery… and still carry hidden strain.

But research on full-arch implant restorations shows something important:
Many mechanical complications — screw loosening, prosthetic fractures, framework distortion — often don’t appear immediately.

They tend to emerge after several years in function, often around five years or more.

Why? Because full-arch restorations rigidly connect multiple implants in a single framework. Even small positional discrepancies between the framework and implant positions can introduce internal strain when the prosthesis is tightened.

That strain may not be visible on delivery day, but under years of strain, it can accumulate until the system eventually reveals it.

Which raises an important question: How do you know a full-arch restoration is truly passive, not just appearing passive at delivery?
