Circuit hopping this weekend.
Brands to Mallory Park for the final rounds of the Mighty Minis Racing Championship.
Early start, via Greggs, to get there for qualifying.
Great to be met by the Jenkins family and their hospitality.
Qualifying was looking good with Trevor, in his GT, holding Pole for a large part, ending up 4th, his best of the season.
Michael right up at the sharp end until electrical problem ended his session, seeing him in P5.
Race 1
It only took a couple of laps for Michael to be battling for the lead, but unfortunately electrical problems again cut his race short. Did achieve fastest lap.
Trevor, again his best showing of the season, up to 3rd, but a wide line at Gerrards, the 1st corner, saw him have a wild ride across the grass into the barrier. Trevor ok, car not so much.
Race 2
Michael starting 15th, within a lap he was up to 4th.
All looking good until car cut out again.
A disappointing day results wise, both cars on the pace but nothing to show for it.
Trophy presentation after the races saw Michael get the Novice Championship. Electrical problems have been a pain all season, but when the car behaves, Michael has proven he's a winner.
Its always good to see Rich from Mini Spares North to discuss the finer points of the 'Mini scene'...and his Corvair.
Some great pieces of engineering on display in the 750 Motor Club Championship.
Mighty Minis looking good for the future, a few welcome regulation changes coming, can't wait to get the first 2027 spec on the dyno.
Thinking of doing Mighty Minis for 2027?
