Winnipeg has a strong and connected manufacturing sector, with local companies supplying the equipment, technology and expertise that help other Manitoba businesses grow and stay competitive in response to tariffs and changing global trade conditions.

The Government of Canada is focused on what we can control: building a stronger, more independent, and more sustainable country. That’s why Minister Olszewski just announced $15.9 million in PrairiesCan support for 15 Winnipeg manufacturing projects through the Regional Tariff Response Initiative and Business Scale-up and Productivity program.

Ltd., Fort Garry Fire Trucks, Global Drain Technologies, Innovair Group, International Truck Body, Micro Tool & Machine Ltd, NeuStar Truck Body & Trailer Mfg, Smartrend Manufacturing Group - SMG, and Structural Composite Technologies Ltd.

When businesses can modernize and grow here at home, they are better able to manage global trade pressures while continuing to support workers, families, and communities while building a stronger, more resilient Canadian economy.
