Leaking CPAP mask? Before you tighten the straps again, read this.

One of the most common mistakes new CPAP users make is assuming tighter means better.

In reality, CPAP masks are designed to seal with airflow. Over-tightening can flatten the cushion, create pressure points, and actually make leaks worse.

Try adjusting your mask while your machine is running and make small changes until you find a comfortable seal.

A properly fitted mask should feel secure — not painfully tight.

Dry mouth is one of the most common CPAP complaints and is often caused by mouth breathing during sleep, humidity settings that are too low, or a mask fit that needs adjusting.

A few small changes can make a huge difference in your comfort and sleep quality.

Spring cleaning reminder for your CPAP equipment !

Regular CPAP cleaning can help improve comfort, reduce bacteria buildup, improve mask seal, and support better sleep overall.

Here’s a simple CPAP cleaning schedule to follow:

Daily:
• Wipe down your mask cushion or nasal pillows
• Empty and refill your humidifier chamber with fresh distilled water

Weekly:
• Wash your mask, tubing, frame, and humidifier chamber with warm water and mild unscented soap
• Let all components fully air dry before use

Keeping your CPAP equipment clean can make a bigger difference in your therapy comfort than many people realize.

Be honest… when was the last time you cleaned your CPAP? 👀
Or are you someone who does it daily?

Starting CPAP? A few small adjustments can make a big difference in how comfortable your nights feel. 💙

Here are 3 simple CPAP tips:

Use the Ramp Feature
Start with lower pressure and let your machine gradually adjust as you fall asleep.

Adjust Your Humidity
Waking up with a dry mouth or nose? Your humidity settings may need a quick tweak.

Check Your Mask Fit
A proper fit helps reduce leaks, pressure points, and discomfort throughout the night.
