Another change of command parade and another commander's departing gift. It took me about a week of evenings and weekends to make this. This is my unit's crest. 16 ga (1/16" roughly) for the back panel, 1"x 1/8" flat bar to wrap the outside and 1/2" x 1/8" flat bar to make the embroidered part. I tig welded the whole thing and blended out the welds. Figuring out the angles and fitting all the individual pieces for the embroidered part of the crest took the longest. Very tedious work but I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
