We're delighted to share our new partnership with Victoria's Gorge Narrows Rowing. Their rowing coaches started using electric outboard motors a year ago in order to overcome some key challenges: the unreliability of gas-powered motors, the cost of fuel, the environmental impact of gas to the fragile Gorge waterway, and most importantly, the noise of gas motors. Now rowing coaches don't need a megaphone to be heard!

In late 2024, Gorge Narrows Rowing decided to switch to ePropulsion electric outboard motors, and partner with OceansEV as their exclusive supplier.

Probably our favourite feature of the Spirit 2 is how they designed everything to just snap together. No need to plug in a cable to connect the battery. No need to un-screw the clamps to remove and stow the motor. Less weight when transporting because the transom mount can stay permanently attached. OceansEV has started taking pre-orders for the Spirit 2. Orders will be fulfilled in sequence as they are received.
