A moment of appreciation for this absolute stunner of an approach to our customer's Airbnb in Tofino.

The home is one of the highest in Tofino, which means stunning views that you have to earn. Instead of climbing up a steep driveway at the end of a long drive, guests get to ascend up this forested pathway, dappled with sunlight.

We were lucky enough to visit and can't wait to go back!

A fantastic example of how you can transform a space and add value to your home with some hard work and simple materials.

Thought it was about time we reintroduce ourselves. We’re Madrone Milling and we make cedar and fir lumber and finished wood products from local Vancouver Island timbers.

We work with contractors and property owners alike on projects of all sizes, from fences and saunas to timber frame structures and custom houses.

We know you’ve got lots of choices when it comes to sourcing materials for your build, and we always try to go the distance to earn your business. That means better quality than the big lumber stores, mill-direct pricing, and the kind of service that makes you a customer for life (we hope!).

Our lumber yard is located in Metchosin, 10 minutes from Sooke or Langford and half an hour from downtown Victoria. We also offer delivery throughout Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.

The guy behind it all is Ben. He started the business in 2021 with a portable sawmill, an umbrella for shelter, and a dream of turning a hobby into a hustle.

It takes a lot of hands to turn raw logs into finished lumber like this. If you need siding, ceilings, decking, or flooring for your project, we can do it all on site, proudly milled from Vancouver Island timbers.
