🚨 THE MOST COMMON RACK DAMAGE WE SEE

In busy warehouses, pallet racking takes a beating. Forklift impacts, bent frames, damaged beams and missing safety components are some of the most common issues we find.

The problem? Damage isn’t always just cosmetic. It can affect the safety and structural integrity of your pallet racking. Our Safety & Damage Reviews identify damage and potential safety concerns, helping you understand what needs attention and what your next steps should be.

✔ Bent or damaged uprights
✔ Forklift impact damage
✔ Damaged beams or missing safety clips
✔ Missing or damaged anchors
✔ Load capacity and signage concerns

Get ahead of the curve before WorkSafeBC (WCB) comes walking in. Be proactive with a professional pallet racking Safety & Damage Review.

Is your space working for you or against you?

When floor area starts disappearing, many businesses assume they need a bigger building. In reality, the right storage system can often increase capacity within your existing footprint - saving time, improving workflow, and delaying the need for costly expansion.

At Top Shelf Systems, we help businesses across the BC Interior maximize their space with Canadian-made shelving and pallet racking solutions.

If you're running out of room, let's talk. We'd be happy to assess your space and recommend practical solutions.

What do we look for in a Safety & Damage Review (SDR)?

A proper SDR is more than a quick walk-through - it’s a structured safety review focused on preventing failures and injuries before they happen.

Key things we check:
✔ Frame/upright damage (forklift impacts, bends, twisting)
✔ Beam condition
✔ Safety pins, anchors & base plates
✔ Load ratings & signage
✔ Clearance, frame alignment & stability

Even minor damage can reduce the safety and capacity of your system which often goes unnoticed until it becomes a bigger issue.

Want to learn more? Visit our website to review WorkSafeBC's Pallet Rack Inspection Checklist to help identify common issues before they become costly problems.

Recent local WorkSafeBC enforcement activity has put warehouse safety back in the spotlight. The reality? Most pallet racking issues aren't obvious until someone trained to spot them takes a closer look.

Many businesses assume their racking is fine because it's been standing for years. Unfortunately, that's not always the case.

Our Safety & Damage Reviews can help identify concerns before they become a safety issue, operational disruption, or compliance headache.

If you have questions or would like to learn more about our process, please contact us and we'd be happy to help guide you.

Still riding the high from the Kamloops Home Show the other weekend 🙌

It was such a great few days connecting with homeowners and businesses. There’s something special about being in a space full of people who genuinely care about what they do and take pride in building, creating, and serving their communities.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who stopped by to chat, ask questions, and learn more about what we do. Events like this are such a good reminder of the value of face-to-face connection and how strong the local business community really is.

Already looking forward to the next one!
