Congratulations to Angelique Davis, P.Eng. for being one of Marine Log’s Top Women in Maritime for 2025!
Meet Angelique, a Senior Naval Architect, Professional Engineer, and a driving force behind technical excellence and inclusive leadership at Vard Marine Inc.
With a degree in Ocean and Naval Architectural Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland and over a decade as a licensed P.Eng. with Professional Engineers Ontario, Angelique has led critical design and analysis on ferries, icebreakers, offshore patrol vessels, and more. Her contributions have consistently delivered safe, efficient, and regulation-compliant vessels—on time and on budget.
In her role as Quality Assurance Manager, she leads continuous improvement aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and engineering best practices. A standout example of her leadership: identifying barriers to post-project feedback and implementing a streamlined solution that boosted engagement and learning across the company.
But Angelique’s leadership goes far beyond process. She’s a mentor, communicator, and inclusive leader who creates space for others to grow. She spearheaded Vard Marine’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity (EDI) initiative, forming a cross-functional committee that drove real change—from awareness campaigns to global alignment with sister companies.
Her influence extends industry-wide through her volunteer work with RINA and SNAME, panel moderation, volunteer coordination, and a long-standing commitment to supporting young professionals in maritime engineering.
Public recognition includes being named one of PEO’s 25 Outstanding Female Engineers and being featured in RINA’s centenary publication, Women in the Institution 1919–2019.
Angelique leads with wisdom, empathy, and impact—and we’re proud to have her on our team.
