Mike Cinnamond, B2Gold's SVP Finance and CFO, along with other mining industry leaders are once again stepping up (and getting messy) in the Pie Throw, Mining for Miracles’ signature fundraising event. The leaders will compete to raise funds in a friendly competition — the participants who raise the most money earn the right to throw a cream pie at their competitors!

Mining for Miracles Pie Throw is a long-running annual event that brings the BC mining community together in support of the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Since 1988, the industry has raised more than $44 million to support critical care, research and programs for children and families across the province.

👏 Congratulations to the team at B2Gold’s Otjikoto Mine in Namibia on achieving an incredible milestone — one full year (2.5 million hours) Lost Time Injury (LTI)-free as of May 7, 2026.

What makes this achievement truly historic is that the operation completed the entire period with zero recordable injuries — no Restricted Work Injuries and no Medical Treatment Cases — a first in B2Gold’s history.

This outstanding accomplishment came during a period of major transition, as the team safely managed the downsizing of open-pit operations while scaling up personnel for the Antelope Zone development.

Well done to the entire Otjikoto team and our underground mining partners at Byrnecut for their unwavering commitment to safety and ensuring everyone goes home safe every day.

The Hockey Helps The Homeless Nunavut Northern Alumni Classic took place on March 21 in Iqaluit—and B2Gold was proud to be a Gold Sponsor of the northernmost NHL Alumni game ever.

The HHTH All stars, captained by Jordin Tootoo, the first Inuk player in the NHL, took on the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni, lead by fan favourite Jumbo Joe Thornton.

In this video, Sportsnet's Luke Gazdic travels to Iqaluit to join the players for a one-of-a-kind benefit hockey game. The event was organized by Hockey Helps the Homeless, a charity raising awareness and funds toward homelessness and food insecurity across Canada.
