They may notice details others miss, experience the world more intensely, or see patterns and possibilities that many people never notice at all.

Every autistic child has their own unique strengths, challenges, interests, and way of experiencing the world. There is no single autism story.

This storybook was created in recognition of Autism Awareness and Acceptance, and in appreciation of the important work being done by PALS Autism Society to support autistic children, youth, and families in our community.

It has been a place where generations of Vancouverites came looking for guidance, reassurance, and care.

From a small beginning in 1920…
to opening in Vancouver in 1926…
to generations of pharmacists carrying the torch forward…

The world changed.
The city changed.
Healthcare changed.

But some things never did.

The belief that patients deserve to be treated like people.
That trust matters.
That community matters.
And that care is something built over a lifetime.
