In one month, Rogers Centre will welcome back visitors and reveal phase 1 of the renovations. Who is looking forward to the start of baseball season?

The Toronto Blue Jays announced at the end of July 2022 that they would spend $300 million to turn the Rogers Centre from a stadium into a ballpark. This would be done through a series of projects. Crossey Engineering Ltd. is part of the team providing , , , , and design for this fascinating project.

Did you know that women only make up about 18% of newly licensed engineers in Canada, according to Engineers Canada?

The organization has a goal of 30% female representation in the Canadian engineering field by 2030. According to Engineers Canada, "Thirty per cent is universally understood as the tipping point for sustainable change—reaching 30 by 30 will tap into the entire engineering talent pool as more and more women continue to enter the profession."

On International Women's Day, which falls during National Engineering Month, can we take on the challenge of getting more women to go into engineering and honouring the talented women who have done so?

You can attend a public presentation of the five shortlisted design proposals for the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts reconstruction TODAY, both in person and online.

Crossey Engineering Ltd. is thrilled that its and engineers are actively participating with each of the five selected teams in the worldwide design competition to reimagine the centre.

At 5:00 p.m., the doors open, and the presentation boards will be displayed. Architectural presentations will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Further information can be found at https://stlcnext.org/.

Toronto, happy birthday! Today marks the 189th anniversary of the city.

Toronto has developed from a 10,000-person village to Canada's largest city since its incorporation in 1834. Toronto is also home to some unique projects, and we have had the opportunity to participate in a number of them.

For example, Crossey Engineering provided Mechanical and Electrical design, as well as Lighting design by our division Consullux, for the Nathan Phillips Square rejuvenation in 2012. Today, you can catch some special celebrations at the location.

Prepare to be amazed by the new renderings for Agnes Etherington Art Centre, designed by KPMB Architects. Construction will begin in spring 2024, and the new building will open in 2026.

"A fully accessible renovation of the historic Etherington House into a community-facing, participatory project space, trans-disciplinary cultural hub, and live-in artist’s residency honours Agnes Etherington’s original bequest of her house to Queen’s to create an art centre to “further the cause of art and community.”"

Crossey Engineering is providing mechanical consulting services to design mechanical and energy systems for the existing facility that will increase the size of the facility to 65,650 sq. ft.
