Earlier this year, our team collaborated with West Park to help a client using a manual wheelchair gain new independence.
We built a custom solution that includes:
• ASL proximity switches, which she activates using her head
• A custom housing that encloses both the switches and battery pack
• Integration with our WISH Box, allowing her to wirelessly control her communication device
This setup means she can express herself more freely and independently—showing how thoughtful design and smart integration of off-the-shelf parts can empower communication.
