FINAR, expert in custom steel buildings, chose LEGERCLAD for its projects. LEGERCLAD is a type II insulation covered with an air barrier membrane. In addition to its insulating value, LEGERCLAD offers you the protection of an air barrier, preventing air infiltration while allowing humidity to escape. Using this product also allows you to save costs and time in the making of your projects.

Foam Concept supplied expanded polystyrene (EPS) blocks for this façade revitalization project in downtown Toronto in January of this year. The installation schedule was extremely tight due to the concrete being poured right after the new year, but Foam Concept was able to have the blocks ready in less than 5 business days in order to keep the project on track. BALNEA SPA BROMONT LIGHTWEIGHT FILL UNDER THE NEW INFINITY HOT TUB
For the construction of the new infinity hot tub, the architect chose Legerlite GEO20 blocks to create the different levels for the patio. The GEO20 also reduced the lateral forces from the existing ground on to the retaining walls.

Thermolite is a Type II insulation intended for multiple uses. In fact, it can be installed on interior and exterior walls and foundations as well as under the concrete slab.

Legerclad: combination of thermolite and a Typar air barrier membrane. In addition to its insulating value, legerclad offers you the protection of an air barrier, thus preventing air infiltration while allowing humidity contained in the walls to escape.

Foam Concept is very proud to have supported Ross Cock’s project with the University of Toronto. Ross used expanded polystyrene (EPS) as the base for the implementation of a Wieringa Surface into the Fields Institute. The main purpose of his installation was to reduce echoes in the room during lectures and, as you can see by the photos, the final product is absolutely stunning!

OTTAWA O-TRAIN EXTENSION
Complex formwork was required to fabricate concrete vaults for various mechanical equipment for the tunnels for the Ottawa train extension. GEOFOAM insulation from LegerLite Group was used by Kiewit to create multiple slopes before pouring the concrete. LegerLite’s layout plan and state-of-the-art cutting machines created high-precision custom blocks to reduce the installation time and to reduce the loads on the scaffolding.

Our designers are always happy to share their experience and knowledge to ensure that art projects are successful and on budget. The Port Lands Flood Protection Project is an initiative to protect portions of the Port Lands, South Riverdale and Leslieville from floodwaters during extreme weather events. Expanded polystyrene (EPS) blocks were specified for this project due to it being 98% lighter than standard crushed stone and its excellent high compressive strength. These factors were critical in order to avoid the potential of loss of backfill materials which could lead to ground loss and settlement behind the wall. Foam Concept also provided technical support to the subcontractor to ensure that the installation would be completed as efficiently as possible.
