❤️ Celebrating 20+ Years of Donna Hardie! ❤️
Some people leave their mark on a business through the work they do. Others leave their mark through the people they are. Every once in a while, you’re fortunate enough to have someone who does both.
For over 20 years, Donna Hardie has been one of those people here at Home Hardware. ❤️
When we think about the people who make a business what it is, we often think of the familiar faces on the sales floor, the people helping customers, or those working out in the yard. But behind every successful business are people working tirelessly behind the scenes, making sure everything keeps running smoothly.
And for more than two decades, Donna has been doing just that.
As our office manager, Donna has spent countless hours keeping the numbers straight, the books balanced, and the business afloat. And no, Donna, we’re not talking about making sure there’s enough float in the tills! 😜
But here’s the thing about Donna. What makes her so special has very little to do with numbers.
Anyone who’s had the pleasure of meeting her knows just how genuinely kind, gentle, and caring this woman truly is. Her charisma, her character, and her personality are something else entirely. Just when you think you’ve got Donna figured out, she’ll surprise you with something new, and that’s part of what makes her so wonderful.
She’s also one of those people who’s always looking out for everyone else.
Whether it’s making sure someone has something in their belly, sharing her snacks, bringing in her homemade baked goods (which are honestly some of the best you’ll ever have!), or treating us to a jar of her famous mustard pickles.
And let me tell you, that woman knows how to make some GOOD mustard pickles! 😂
It’s funny, because when you look back over the years, it’s often those little things that mean the most. The conversations, the laughter, the unexpected treats, the thoughtful gestures, and simply knowing that someone genuinely cares about the people around them.
Those are the things that make a workplace feel like more than just a place to work.
Twenty plus years of dedication is something truly worth celebrating. Through all the changes, challenges, busy seasons, and everything in between, you’ve remained such an important part of our Home Hardware family.
Donna, thank you.
Thank you for your loyalty, your dedication, your kindness, your generosity, and for all the little things you do that probably mean more to people than you realize.
A business is only ever as good as the people who help make it what it is, and we are incredibly fortunate that you’ve been one of ours for all these years.
