Carbide Tool works was established in 1964 in Vancouver, British Columbia Canada. It had it’s beginnings as a service company and has evolved over the years to provide not only sharpening and machine shop services, but manufacturing all manner of carbide cutting tools. Cutters and specialty items as well as circular saw blades from 2” diameter all the way to 48” diameter in house. We can now servi

ce and produce saws up to 72” in diameter together with our saw plate provider. Carbide Tool Works continues to innovate , from its insert tooling systems for Tongue & Groove plywood to its latest innovation, laminated saw plate bodies. Technology
Saw blade heat treating is now done for us in California at a state of the art facility incorporating the latest in thin plate technology. Press tempering is done in specially designed ovens that can hold a hardness tolerance throughout the saw plate of less than 0.8 RWC.
