A tough playoff loss to Team AB closes our U18 National Championships. This one will stay with us for a while. When a group pours this much into a season, the hurt runs deep and that says everything about the heart of this team.
U18 was full of early mornings, long travel days, pressure moments, big shots, tough lessons, and growth that won’t always show on the scoreboard. Every athlete gave their all.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who made this event possible, from ice makers to organizers, your hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly. A special thank you to McIntyre Curling Centre for being such a wonderful host and creating an incredible environment for all the teams. Your dedication and hospitality made this championship even more memorable.
There aren’t enough words to thank our incredible coach, Alex Smith. The time away from home, the countless hours, the steady leadership, and your unwavering belief changed this team. Your commitment went far beyond wins and losses, it shaped this group and will stay with them long after U18.
To our parents and families, you are the backbone of this journey. Every mile, every early morning, every packed meal, every cheer in the stands, your support never went unnoticed. This experience belongs to you just as much as it does to us.

While this is the final U18 season for Team French, placing somewhere in the top 10 in the country is not a bad spot to land. We can only get better and go up from here. The lessons learned, bonds formed, and pride earned will carry us forward. Here’s to the next chapter - U20s! 💙
