Don’t trap and relocate wildlife!

It may seem like a quick solution, but it’s ineffective and illegal to move wildlife more than 1 kilometre in Ontario.

Here’s why:
• moving wildlife can move diseases like rabies and distemper to new areas
• vacated spaces are quickly filled by other animals when the resources such as food, water and housing remain
• relocated wildlife are often moved to another animal’s territory, leading to conflict, injury or death
• mothers may be separated from their young, who may not survive on their own

Prevention by removing attractants is far more effective!

Being owned by a service company has it perks . We get to draw upon the experience of the service managers and techs to offer better solutions and to test products. Nuisance Wildlife Control INC. Has been sharing there employee profiles and each week we will be sharing them as well to show you where the info is coming from. This week is Matt Alkerton , the service manager at NWC Inc.

What better way to kick off our “Meet The Team” series then by starting with the guy that runs the show. Not only does he make sure all the guys know what they are up to each day he also takes the lead in the field, especially when it come to exclusion work!

Matt is also licensed carpenter and licensed trapper.

Next in the “Meet The Team” series is the youngest full time member of the team! Kody’s high energy and experience in construction has been a great asset on and off job sites.

Kody is a licensed trapper and a carpenter apprentice.

The “Meet The Team” series continues! David is our longest serving, non family employee! He operates WCS Canada the store side of the business. His wealth of knowledge about wildlife and trapping ensures our customers are getting exactly what they need, but also has proven helpful for our techs!

David is a licensed trapper and holds a bachelor’s of science degree with honours in biology as well as an advanced diploma in fish and wildlife technology.
