Participate in a series of tabletop brainstorming sessions to identify strengths, gaps and future region needs!

Welcome to the Sooke Region Health Summit 2026!
Everyone in the region is welcome to attend and participate in a series of tabletop brainstorming sessions that will identify local health and wellness-related strengths, gaps and future needs grouped under four subject areas: Healthy Food Accessibility, Special Populations, Medical Services & Infrastructure and Social & Physical Activities.

These same pillars were utilized at the first Sooke Region Health Summit in May 2016. SRCHN will compare and contrast findings from the two events as it prepares a final report to be circulated to the Province and the District’s new elected council in early 2027.

The event will begin with opening comments from Mayor Maja Tait and MLA Dana Lajeunesse.

Island Health's Medical Officer Dr. Melissa Wan will deliver a keynote address focused on Sooke region health issues and the 2025 Western Communities Local Area Health Profile.

Hi everyone - With all the activity happening around the Sooke Gathering Place Mary (or another volunteer) will be in the space beside the SRCHN office every Tuesday and Thursday 9-3 from now until mid October. Come in and chat about the Sooke Gathering Place, sign up for volunteer activities, sign up for the Grand Parade.
2120 Church Rd - the office is in the apartments at Church and Wadaams Way, facing Curch Rd.

On Saturday, September 19th 2026, SRCHN and our community will be walking together and in teams to benefit Sooke Seniors! We will be adding fun by having prizes for best costumes!
