Honeybees (Chinese: 蜜蜂; literally: "Bees") are consumed as a food in parts of China, including Yunnan. It is considered a Chinese delicacy; according to a worker at a Yunnan-based specialty restaurant, the bees are best served "deep-fried with salt and pepper". Kellie Schmitt of CNN described the dish as one of "Shanghai's weirdest foods".[1] .....I wish they would try mosquitoes instead, they are probably pretty good with a bit of Dijon mustard
