Hey West Horizon Contracting, Blackfox Enterprises and all you other mobile welders and mechanics in NW BC. With winter bearing down on us it’s time to think about protecting the gear and tools that make you money. Nothing worse than pulling up on site and having to spend 20 minutes cleaning road dust, salt and sludge out of your controls, just to start burning and earning. If you’ve got a mobile setup that you want to protect and keep warm and dry, give CKC Ultralight: Custom Fabric Shelters & Solutions a call and let us work together on a custom solution to keep you up and working.

Everybody’s got an IKEA barstool or chair. Ever tried to replace just the top? Can be a bit of an adventure between:
1-ordering another one
2-trying to figure out how to get it up here to the beautiful northwest
3-then being told it’s not in stock and they don’t know when it’ll be in.
Drop by the CKC shop at 4364 Hwy 16W, on the edge of town next to Freelande Automotive, and bring your your battered stool or chair and let us show you a selection of cool fabrics to recover it and make it like new again.

From a hand-drawn sketch on some scrap cardboard, an idea came to life as a plan. Materials were ordered and the CKC Ultralight: Custom Fabric Shelters & Solutions crew was able to turn a local brewery into an everyday SOHO Urban Lounge. Final touches going up right in time for the upcoming cold snap. With the right setup, patio season never ends! Fun project, learned a bunch along the way. Great job team! Bring us your ideas.

Does the closing of the local course have you missing the greens and fairways already? Have you always wanted to play Pebble Beach, St Andrew’s or Augusta but don’t know how you could ever make that happen.
Why not solve both those issues at once and have us put together a garage golf simulator for you? Golf all winter, play courses you’ve only ever dreamed of and refine your skills at the same time with the data output on each and every swing. Custom sized to your space and multiple price points available, depending on the technology chosen. Contact us today to get together and come up with a design and a plan.

I once had a hockey coach who said “we wear suits to games in order to look good. You gotta look good to feel good. Can’t play well unless you feel good!”
Well, if that were the case then this classic Glastron has never felt better with her new top in terracotta trimmed in Ivory. Great canvas work by Colleen with the finishing details wrapped up by the rest of the team.

Another custom shack out the door!

This time, our client was looking for a design to accommodate drilling holes on multiple azimuths.

Benefits of the clamshell shack:
- Half of the clamshell shack can rotate independently, all while maintaining a comfortable work area.
-Allows the crew to maintain a warm and dry environment regardless of the drill alignment.
-Each clamshell is also equipped with extra panels and framework - allowing it to be used as a traditional square shelter.
