Vallee is proud to announce that Ryan Elliott, our Director of Structural Engineering, has been designated as a Professional Member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals (CAHP).

This recognition places Ryan in some exclusive company, as there are only about 500 CAHP Professional Members nationwide. Of those, Ryan is one of only about 200 CAHP Professional Members with Buildings Expertise, and he is one of only three CAHP practicing Bridge Engineers in Canada!

โ€œIโ€™m very excited to continue my work on heritage buildings and bridges, developing and growing my knowledge and working with other Professional Members on important heritage sites," Ryan said of his designation. "We have a few on the drawing board at the moment that weโ€™ll be rolling out over the next year and Iโ€™m really looking forward to shining a bright light on some great local heritage legacy projects.โ€

You can check out his profile and learn more about the CAHP and the important heritage conservation work they do at https://cahp-acecp.ca/

Congratulations, Ryan!

We are so grateful for this recognition from the Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce. Being part of this community for six decades has been a privilege and being honoured with the inaugural Stelco speaks to not only the work we do here at but, more importantly, the strong connections and trust weโ€™ve built.

We owe this honour in large part to our team, partners, and clients who have supported our growth and helped us create this legacy and we look forward to many more years of building better communities, here in and beyond.

G Douglas Vallee Ltd. is the winner of the inaugural Stelco Legacy Award!

We've all seen a in progress, but what you might not know is how much preparation goes into a municipal project before it gets to the construction phase.

This day-in-the-life from Jacob, Project Manager at Norfolk County, gives us a behind-the-scenes look at how these projects come togetherโ€”from initial planning and design to groundbreaking and final touches.

Featuring exclusive footage from the second and final phase of Colborne Street North's reconstruction, this project is a great example of the work we do at , where we provided services to bring it all to life.

Check out the full video to see how it all happens!

That's a wrap on Talbot!

The lines have been painted, street signs installed, sod laid, and, most importantly, your patience appreciated over the last several weeks as our crews worked to complete this project on schedule. We're especially excited for the marked crossings on either side of West Street, providing more safety for pedestrians.

๐Ÿšง Great news! The Talbot Street reconstruction project has wrapped up, and we now have a new all-way stop and pedestrian crosswalk at the Talbot and West Street intersection in Simcoe.

Please note that the area in front of the County Administration Building entrance is now a pedestrian crosswalk with accessible ramps. ๐Ÿšถ โ™ฟ

If youโ€™re travelling in the area, make sure to watch for the new stop signs, and let's all work together to keep this space safe for everyone! ๐Ÿšธ

After 27 incredible years with our Civil Engineering department, itโ€™s time to bid farewell to one of the finest Civil Engineering Technologists to have ever walked through the doorsโ€”the man, the myth, the legend... Don Bint!

From shaping projects that have transformed our communities to mentoring countless team members, Don's dedication and expertise have been insurmountably invaluable.

While weโ€™ll undoubtedly miss his technical skills and sharp insights, itโ€™s his friendship and humor that weโ€™ll miss most.

Join us in wishing Don all the best as he embarks on this well-earned retirement. Hereโ€™s to new adventures, Don! ๐Ÿฅ‚

It's not "goodbye" โ€“ it's "see you later"!

Within the last four years, Vallee has been working closely with Hazama Ando Corporation, Schilthuis Construction Inc., and Toyotetsu Canada Inc. TTCA on a number of projects at the facility right here in Norfolk County... and those projects came to a successful close earlier this year.

Through these developments, over 146,000 sq.ft. of space has been added to facilitate additional and improved operations, including shipping and receiving expansions, die storage, two new press pits, a new electrical room, and space for manufacturing, training, staff, and offices.

It's no surprise that since Toyotetsu Canada Inc. TTCA was founded in Simcoe in 2006, it has made a significant impact on our community through employment and economic growth and Vallee is proud and grateful to have been part of that.

We look forward to working together again!
