📸 Lawson Engineering at the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament ⛳

It was another fantastic day on the course at the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament!

As a proud sponsor, we always appreciate the opportunity to support events that bring together local businesses, community members, and industry partners. It was great catching up with familiar faces, making new connections, and enjoying a day filled with friendly competition and plenty of laughs.

A huge thank you to the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce and everyone involved in organizing such a well-run event. Your hard work and dedication make this tournament a success year after year, and we're grateful to be a part of it.

We had an absolute blast at the SCIP Annual Golf Tournament last week! ⛳

As one of the event sponsors, we're always proud to support such a fantastic organization. SCIP does incredible work advocating for and supporting the construction industry through education, networking, and industry collaboration, helping strengthen our communities and the professionals who build them.

Now, before anyone asks... yes, our Lawson Engineering golf crew somehow managed to spend an entire afternoon/evening on the course and forgot to take a single team photo. We know, we know... very disappointing! 😅

⛳ On Tuesday, the Lawson Engineering team was proud to sponsor a hole at the 2026 TOTA Annual Golf Tournament hosted at Shuswap National Golf Course.

It was a fantastic day connecting with tourism and business leaders from across the Thompson-Okanagan, while supporting initiatives that help strengthen and enhance our region. This year's tournament raised funds for the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Foundation and regional trail development projects, including the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail.

A big thank you to the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association for organizing another great event, and to everyone who stopped by to say hello. We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with community partners and showcase the work we're doing throughout the region.

🚧 Project Progress on the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail

It’s great to see continued momentum on the Shuswap North Okanagan Rail Trail as Construction moves ahead with the finishing touches around the Mara Community Hall site along the Shuswap River.

Our team at Lawson Engineering has been proud to support this project, including the design work for the parking lot and surrounding infrastructure. Recent efforts have focused on refining the parking area, bringing it closer to completion for community use.

Fence installation is also well underway, helping define the space while adding a polished, cohesive look to the site.

Earlier this month, crews completed a transition strip connecting the parking lot to the rail trail. This detail plays an important role in:

Managing drainage effectively
Limiting vegetation growth along the fence line
Enhancing long-term performance of the site

With the Mara Community Hall serving as a local hub for over a century, it’s rewarding to be part of upgrades that will benefit both residents and trail users for years to come.
