My first year here, I had attempted to make an oversized wood pallet with leftover wood, to use as a woodshed. A few weeks later added some makeshift ends to help hold the wood in, loaded two cords onto it, and then the wind came along and said "nah, you didn't brace that enough for me" and huffed and puffed and blew it over. The following year, I added some side walls to help brace the ends, and the result is what you see before you. Now this year, I've moved the back decks in preparation for leveling it out, cleared a new spot for the wood shed to go, added some rocks, leveled it out a bit as best as I could eyeball.
Next step is to grab 4 patio stones that I have leftover from the decks, find my high point on the square and throw a 2x6 between the patio stones for some finer leveling, I'll throw my level on it and add stones as needed till we're looking good. Then we can move the woodshed to its new location, add all the walls back on, and this year, well add a proper roof to protect all the birch wood we've been drying.
I've also upgraded the wood stove to a 3800sq ft unit with some blowers, J.A. Roby Ultimate 2015, nice wood stove for the year! Got new fire bricks for it, and slowly setting up my new ICC Ultra black pipes to go along with it.
