Honouring Truth and Reconciliation through community, culture, and education. 🧡

Pro Metal Industries Ltd. is proud to recognize the work of Nadine McKenzie, our Senior Strategic Coordinator, who recently participated in two Truth and Reconciliation events in North Grenville, Ontario.

Nadine leads the Naawakwe Drummers, a local drum group that joined community leaders, Elders, members of the Indigenous Advisory Circle, students, and community members to gather in reflection and learning.

On September 30, more than 500 students from Kemptville-area schools came together for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Students had the opportunity to learn, reflect, make to***co ties, write their own reconciliation commitments, and experience Indigenous songs and culture shared by the Naawakwe Drummers.

Nadine was also part of the September 26 gathering at the Mino-jichaag Mitigwaaki Garden in Ferguson Forest, bringing community members together ahead of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

As a 100% First Nations-owned company, Pro Metal is proud of team members like Nadine who share their time, knowledge, and culture while helping create opportunities for learning, understanding, and reconciliation in communities across Canada.

Thank you, Nadine, and the Naawakwe Drummers for the important work you continue to do. 🧡

As a 100% First Nations-owned company and a proud Pasqua First Nation company, we recognize the importance of continuing to listen, learn, and move reconciliation forward through meaningful action.

Today is a day to reflect on our shared history, honour the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, and continue building a better future for generations to come.

Today, the Pro Metal Industries team took time to recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and reflect on the history, experiences and truths of Indigenous Peoples across Canada.

Team members Kathryn Nagy and Shylah Maier took the initiative to decorate our reception area in recognition of the day. Our staff also came together for a homemade breakfast, creating an opportunity to learn, reflect and have meaningful conversations about our shared history and the ongoing journey of reconciliation.

In observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Pro Metal Industries will be closed tomorrow, September 30th, as we take time to honour Survivors, their families and communities, and remember the children who never returned home.

Reconciliation requires continued learning, understanding and action—not just on September 30th, but throughout the year.

Every Child Matters. 🧡

🐛 New Pest Pressure is Hitting Saskatchewan Fields

With recent wet conditions, producers across Saskatchewan are seeing increased insect activity in fields across the province. Reports indicate rising populations of:
• Cabbage Seedpod Weevil
• Wheat Midge
• Alfalfa Weevil
• Lygus Bugs & Seed Bugs

When insect pressure increases, timely field monitoring becomes more important than ever.

Pro Metal Industries' Sweep Nets are built for durability, accuracy, and the demanding conditions of Canadian agriculture—giving agronomists, producers, crop scouts, and producers the reliable tools they need to monitor pest populations and make informed management decisions.

Don't wait until damage is visible. Be proactive this growing season.
