QMTI is a Saskatchewan Incorporated company situated in Prince Albert investigating and developing technologies which enhance the food commodity, manufacturing and exporting trade as it relates to Pulse Crops here in Canada. With our present technology we are looking to finish discovery in pest control, flavor enhancement, increased shelf life and our nutritional extract Endo-factor™. With the ong
oing support of the Saskatoon Food Center, IRAP funding, AgWest Bio, Farmers of North America, Pulse Growers Association, WINN and private investment we have been able to continue our efforts to commercialize this necessary green technology. Presently we are scheduling a research program with the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, University of Saskatchewan with our ‘Gentle Processing’ technology to refine the technology and publish findings. Following our initial discovery utilizing Gentle Processing of soy beans, we have uncovered through 3rd party sensory testing a better tasting product with complete protein structure and lower peroxide levels. Although our liquid extract Endo-factor™ didn’t show adequate nutrient levels we have discovered that stress factors of the commodity play a role. QMTI is looking to develop a business relationship with pulse supply companies, pulse manufacturing companies and commodity exporters through licensing agreements or JV business model.
