on of approx. 5,500 and we are the largest provider of building supplies in the area. The retail store is situated in Port Hardy B.C at the top of Market Street and also runs the length of Lund Street, the property sits on approx. 1.7 acres; our retail space is approx. 7,300 sq feet with an additional 1,800 sq feet upstairs and 2,900 sq feet in basement areas. Our basement holds a commercial generator and during the many planned and unplanned power outages PHBS carries on business as usual! We also have a large lumber yard and 1 detached and 1 attached storage shed, accommodating storage for our insulation products. we serve contracting companies from all over BC and Alberta many of whom are hired by First Nations as far away as Bella Bella, Klemtu and Rivers Inlet. We have the capacity to ship to very remote areas and provide services to these remote locations efficiently and professionally; we also serve the local building enthusiast and home D.I.Y.er. We offer products from quality Grade A lumber, plumbing, electrical, power tools, nuts, bolts, nails and basically everything required to construct any building imaginable. Our retail Store is open 6 days a week. Historically, PHBS has been the chosen retailer to provide materials to community projects such as the new Airport, the Coast Guard Stations, numerous First Nation Housing and Ceremonial Building structures, just to name a few. We are a proud member of TimberMart, and are the only store on the north end of the island to have an exclusive membership with that supplier. We also own a fleet of vehicles and have one of the only Peterbilt Heavy Duty Cranes in the area, providing crane services to our community. We provide delivery to all the Port’s on the North end of the island.
