I’ve been transitioning to work as a full-time bartender and getting tossed into the whirlwind of life on your toes. I haven’t worked in the service industry since I was last in school, Halifax 2019. I’m enjoying the f**k out of it, rocking it and getting rocked all in one 5 day a week flurry.

Even more so than myself, Honey Ham is delighted with this change. Slow mornings where we’re up early, can hit the lake or her favourite laps in town. Honey would come to block with us as tree planters, but never quite enjoyed it as much as she enjoyed the comfort of a truck. She came just for us, to stay close by. Now that Honey knows she gets more freedom in her morning routine and has healed up from her final tooth extraction, she’s more full of life than she’s ever been.

Holy whirlwind man. I started a new job last night. I cannot f**king believe how many of you keep showing me love. I’ve been doing the most for a minute now and all things are different. I sold my pick-up and bought a ‘97 tercel off some punk ass kid in town. It’s spotless, coral rose pearl. I can walk to my new job, I can see the ocean out the windows from my station. It’s going to push me socially farther than I’ve pushed myself in a very long time, especially locally. I want to do more locally. I applied for the local Search and Rescue team. My markers of community are shifting and I’m glad for it. I’m glad for all of you here, motivating and pushing this forward. Thank you, everyday.
