A big thank you to Peterborough County & City of Kawartha Lakes (PCCKL) Public Works Association for inviting us out for a great day on the golf course! ⛳️

We had a fantastic time at the tournament, and it was great to share the day with Kyle Darling from the County of Peterborough and Craig Brooks from Otonabee-South Monaghan.

Great company, plenty of laughs, and a little friendly competition made for a pretty great day on the course.

Thanks again to PCCKL for putting together such a great event. We’re already looking forward to the next one! ⛳️

Low Impact Development (LID) uses nature-based solutions to manage rainwater closer to where it falls.

Features like bioswales, rain gardens, permeable pavements, and infiltration systems can help:

Reduce stormwater runoff
Support groundwater recharge
Create greener, more resilient communities

We integrate LID principles into infrastructure and land development projects to create stormwater solutions that are both practical and environmentally responsible.

Because great infrastructure isn’t just about managing water!

It’s about designing communities that are prepared for what’s next.

A little sunshine, a BBQ, some time by the creek, and a surprisingly competitive dock race. ☀️🏁

Yesterday was a good one. Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun afternoon!

Stormwater management ponds are an essential part of modern infrastructure, helping control runoff, reduce flood risks, improve water quality, and protect the natural environment.

Thoughtfully designed systems not only support today’s communities but also help prepare them for future growth and changing weather conditions.

Our team combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of environmental responsibility to deliver stormwater solutions that are practical, resilient, and built to perform over the long term.

Creating sustainable communities starts with designing infrastructure that works with nature - not against it.

Great teams don’t just work together!
They connect, support each other, and have fun along the way!

We’re proud of the people behind the projects and the culture we continue to build together.

Where does the water go?

When heavy rain falls, the landscape tells a story.

Floodplain delineation helps us understand how water moves across the landscape, providing a clearer picture of flood risks and helping shape safer, more resilient places to live and grow.

Through detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, our team helps municipalities, developers, and conservation authorities better understand flood risks and make informed decisions that support:

- Safer, more resilient communities
- Smarter land-use planning
- Informed infrastructure design
- Protection of natural resources

As weather patterns continue to change, understanding how our landscapes respond to rainfall and flooding is more important than ever.

Because building resilient communities starts with understanding the water.

A great day on the greens! ⛳

Last Thursday, our team joined the PKHBA (.k.h.b.a) 70th Anniversary Golf Tournament at Quarry Golf Club.

We had a great time golfing with MDM Developments and Cambium, enjoying some friendly competition, and connecting with others in the local industry.

Thanks to everyone who helped organize such a great day!

This month marked 5 years that Alex has been with Engage as a full timer. He also had a couple summers with us prior to that.

Over that time, Alex has been a key part of the team and has contributed significantly to many of our complex design projects. His consistent work, technical knowledge, and commitment across the board have been a big part of Engage’s success over the past 5 years.

Now officially a P.Eng and one of our Design Engineers, Alex continues to be an integral part of the team taking that next step in his engineering career.

Congratulations on this milestone, Alex - we are happy you chose Engage and look forward to what’s ahead!
