Floratomy

Floratomy Floratomy reimagines everyday products that florists rely on by eliminating waste at the manufacturing stage instead of after use.

We are beyond grateful and still a little speechless. Last night, Floratomy took home the Founders Circle Grand Prize — and we genuinely could not have done this without the most incredible community behind us.

To the Parry Sound Area Founders Circle — thank you for believing in innovation, in sustainability, and in the potential of ideas that start right here at home.

To our mentors, your guidance shaped us more than you know. To our customers, friends, and family — your support has carried us every step of the way.

A huge congratulations to Level Health on their well-deserved win, and to our fellow finalists — Solidarity Space, Greener Grass Lawn & Property Maintenance, and Doherty’s Masonry & Contracting Inc. You are all doing incredible things and this community is better for it. We learned so much and met some truly remarkable people along this journey.

This is just the beginning for Floratomy — and we can’t wait to show you what comes next. 🌿

W couldn’t be more excited to stand alongside our fellow finalists! Looking forward to the rest of the process.

A quick behind the scenes from our Founders Circle photoshoot 🎥

Captured by biglakecinematic, this shoot was part of the Parry Sound Area Founders Circle, where Floratomy is honoured to be named a finalist. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share our story and vision as we continue building Floratomy.

Always a pleasure working with Dave from Big Lake Cinematic — storytelling is an important part of how we communicate our ideas, our process, and where we’re headed as a company.

A little behind the scenes from our recent photoshoot with Peter Istvan Photography 📸

This shoot was part of the Parry Sound Area Founders Circle , where Floratomy is honoured to be named a finalist. Stepping in front of the camera to share our story — and the vision behind Floratomy — was both exciting and humbling.

What you don’t always see is the work happening quietly in the background: the ideas, the testing, the research, and the belief that our industry can do better. This moment represents not just a photoshoot, but a milestone in our start-up journey.

Grateful for the support of our local business community and for opportunities like this that help shine a light on innovation rooted right here in Parry Sound. 🌿

Introducing Floratomy – Igniting Innovation

We’re proud to introduce a new company created to reimagine the anatomy of the floral industry. Built by florists, for florists, Floratomy (floor-at-oh-mee) designs eco-friendly, functional products that reduce the industry’s reliance on single-use plastics while expanding creative freedom and practical sustainability.

Tanis Mack and Amy Black, certified floral designers, event planners, and entrepreneurs, are the co-founders of Floratomy. Together, they have spent over twelve years owning and operating a retail flower shop in downtown Parry Sound, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges florists face every day.

There is a real irony in an industry rooted in nature, growth, and beauty relying heavily on single-use plastics — which threaten the soil and water flowers need to thrive. This frustration and reality inspired Tanis and Amy to create logical, sustainable solutions for florists by designing the products they wished existed.

Floratomy is currently in the start-up phase, with a patent-pending design and ongoing research and development. The company’s first product will be in the hands of florists very soon, with many more innovative designs to follow. More information and updates will be shared as soon as they become available.

This is more than a company — it’s a movement toward a floral industry that works in harmony with the earth, not against it. Like and follow Floratomy to help us build the momentum we need to educate and inspire fellow florists.
